Our workshops are designed to inspire students and introduce them to the diverse roles within content creation. They offer a practical pathway into creativity, teamwork, and self-expression. Through hands-on activities, participants explore the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking. They are learning how to research, gather information, think about questions, conduct interviews, and record and edit their own short stories. Recently, we collaborated with 2nd-year students in Rosary College Crumlin on the JCSP-funded Make a Film project. The workshop aligned with many Junior Cycle learning outcomes, making it an ideal programme for both junior and senior groups who want to understand how real stories are made and how their own voices can shape them. The documentary about the Czech School in Dublin, made by primary school students, was commissioned by Radio Prague International.

Documentary Storytelling Workshops

Phone Away During The Day, Rosary College Dublin

“The kids really enjoyed this extracurricular activity. As a result, the school received a valuable documentary which was a pleasure to watch and a great success with the general public. Beta is professional, hard working, and reliable. She has been very popular with the kids. I would definitely ask her to work with us in the future, and recommend her to anyone with similar needs.”

Petra Miletinova, Principal of Czech School Dublin

“The students learned to creatively brainstorm a narrative, storyboard the scenes, wrote scripts and work together as a team. They loved using the film equipment and Beta ensured that the pre-production and filming was student led. Beta is a natural with the students, professional, patient and fun! I will 100% be inviting Beta back to work with our students.”
